I received an iMac G5. At first I thought it was a flat screen TV. I still don't know what to do with it. It is a computer isn't it? Gosh!

An iMac G5 no fair! If, by the way, you ever need any tech support you know you can just send it to me and I will have it working dandy. (of course if you do that you might never see it again.) All this to say that you are one lucky queen mum Queen Mum.

Why...Maybe you could come to my house and do the technical support here (you'd have to bring your school work though). God knows I need it!

Lucky? Well.....I guess I just can't see it yet. I am thankful though...I think. I don't even know what to do with it. When I first tried to do something with it, it asked me if I wanted to primarily use it for art, photography or film. I thought, "great", I've got breaking culture's,The Queen and FoolishKnight's computer. SO, you see, I think the thing already has it out for me. It's prejudiced!

By the way, how do I know what it's name is? Is it true that they all come with a pre-chosen name?

Queen, I don't know if they come with a pre-chosen name, but name it you must and name it you will. When you spend time on it think of it as a great adventure uncovering new mysteries.

Oh and about the present thing. Tuesday gave me a pocket size A Midsummer's Night Dream. And it has Shakespeare sonnets in the back now how cool is that.

I got so many great gifts this Christmas that I couldn't possibly list them all here. But here are some that come to mind:

-A Sufjan Stevens record (for the real experience) and CD (iPod friendly format).

-Vertigo. The only DVD I got this year is also the best Hitchcock I've seen.

-A pocket-sized storyboarding book. I didn't even know such wonders existed.

-Several wonderful books. Including, but not (necessarily) limited to, the following:

The Paradoxes of Mr. Pond by G. K. Chesterton. G. K. Chesterton is one of my all-time favorite writers. Here, he is working once again in the vineyard of the detective story. Should be good.

Rosebud, The Story of Orson Welles by David Thomson. Hey, it's about Orson Welles. What else do you really need to know?

The Importance of Being Foolish, How to Think Like Jesus by Brennan Manning. Fresh from an intense encounter with God, Manning, as a youth wrote a book called Gentle Revolutionaries: Breaking Through to Christian Maturity. Manning picked up the book after it eventually passed out of print and reworked it a little, refining it, and smoothing over some of harsher spots. The Importance of Being Foolish is the result.

Watership Down by Brian Adams. My very own copy! To savor and love and call my own! Hooray for cousins! (And aunts and uncles too, of course.)

You what bugs me? When I post a comment that's longer then anything I normally post on my own blog.

I think I need to change my blogging style.
