Save Me and My Car Project

This is a very important project. The future of me and my car are at stake here! As you can see to the right, my beautiful Nissan 300zx is not doing too great. Hopefully, this project will save this amazing automobile. First, I will list the problems this car has, then you can help me by sharing inexpensive ways to resolve these problems. I have no money. But money is not the only source of trade. I think we can all come up with sweet ideas to help.

PROBLEM 1: Crushed winshield
PROBLEM 2: Demolished hood
PROBLEM 3: Plenty of dents on both quarter panels
PROBLEM 4: Ruined paint job
PROBLEM 5: Parents will not let me drive it(Biggest problem)

DEALING WITH PROBLEM 1: My dad has actually said that he would replace the winshield, but he never has time to put it on his trailer and take it to the windshield repair place in Nashville. What should i do? My sister is not helping. At all. She just called my project stupid.

DEALING WITH PROBLEM 2: The hood was demolished when my dad was driving the car and the latch broke, the hood flew up and crushed the windshield and messed up the hood. I have no idea what to do about this problem.

DEALING WITH PROBLEM 3: Their are plenty of dents on both quarter panels. Quarter panels are the pieces of body on the side above the front wheels. What should I do?

DEALING WITH PROBLEM 4: A ruined paint job. I think their is only one way to fix this problem, but I am hoping that some extremely talented car body artist would feel my pain and would donate a sweet paint job as practice. How sweet would that be? Ideas still needed, I do not think mine will work.

DEALING WITH PROBLEM 5: BIGGEST PROBLEM. My loving parents will not let me drive this mad sweet chunk of beauty. Partly, I think, because it has no airbags. What shall I ever do?????

Prayer. God can even change the heart of a parent.

If you know anyone who donates any of these items to poor Christian boys, contact me.

So Eucharisto has us praying for his computer and Breaking Culture for his car. What's next?

Joking aside though, I can't help you. I have no money and, until a few months ago, I thought that cars and traffic laws were run mostly by magic. Yeah.

It looks like the only way I could possibly help would be in the "Getting Parents to do What You Want" department, but obviously correspondence regarding that topic would have to transpire elsewhere.

I think good ol Queeny thinks it's stupid because she has absolutely no desire at all to drive. She can't feel your pain. I think it's odd that the hood and windsheld got messed up while your dad was driving it to HER graduation.

I however, do feel your pain. My JEEP has been wrecked for over a month now, so I know how you feel. I'm just not going to do anything about it. Oh, did I say I love you?

Nope, don't know anyone who donates those sorts of things.

Gabe I'm just saying that maybe you should move on to begging Mom and Dad to get ME a VW mini bus!

Well I thought it was a good idea.

Well I am sorry for you. Cars and your family don't mix well. Maybe you all should just ride camels, I believe they go fairly fast. But about the car I have seen someone use a bathroom plunger to get the dints out his daughter put in the car (and no the daughter was not me). Try washing your car carefully, and then waxing it well so it slows down the rust till you get the new paint on.
Your parents are probably just trying to save you from any more UPS trucks backing into you. You defiantly don't need to get a summer "paying" job you should volunteer at a Bible camp where you could take 'sweet' pics of 184 acres.

Hi! I've never posted here but Midsummer told me about your car problems, and my daddy is all about fixing cars. I grew up with dented cars and tarps and partially finished hot rods in the driveway.

Here's some advice... You can replace the hood (and definitely that non-functioning latch), and maybe quarter panels cheaper by going to a a U-Pull It junkyard. I don't know if they have them in Tennesse but I'm assuming so. You call around and see if they have any cars that are your year and model. Then you go and pull the part yourself. It will most likely not match paintwise, but you need a new paint job any way right. This could get it in a semi-drivable state.

But all of this requires you know how to pull the part and replace them. I say make friends with someone in the bodyshop business. Maybe they'll take pity on you and help you? Or maybe you can find some stuff on the internet that will help educate you on this.

Good Luck!

So far, the solution looks like being hand-cuffed while riding a camel through a junk yard, asking the rich people who live in the junk yard(uhhh....) for money, whle filling out an application to a camp in Oregon so I can get some foolish advice on how to tweek my parents.
Yessssssss, this is exactly the kind of brain power I was hoping for. You guys are great! I couldn't have paid money for the truth (and practicality) in this solution to my problem.

"Uh, Waiter, bring me another fork, please....this one is weird, it has three holes in the end."

"Uhh...right away sir"

yeah, I admit, it took forever for me to post here. Oh well.
Being a poor Christian guy myself, I can offer you but little, that I feel for you, especially as this is a very cool car.
I will say if you ever get it going, 300zx's are amazingly awesome cars!
Keep us updated.

Breaking culture, your summary of all the comments was sweet. You're a cool dude, with a serious love affair with the wrong car.
